Ratcliffe Road
The Quay
SUNDAY rides always stop at a cafe or pub for a leisurely lunch
and aim to return to the start by approx 4pm in the winter, and up to
6pm in the summer when we cover longer distances. We usually average
9-10mph.
SATURDAY rides tend to be about the same distance but are
faster with fewer stops on route. However there is usually a long
lunch/pub stop at the destination.
WEDNESDAY EVENING rides go out to the surrounding countryside and
are around 20 miles in length and take up to three hours including a
village pub stop.
Leicester Spokes rides are free and open to all. Please make sure that your bicycle is in good working order, and bring along a spare inner tube and some money. For the Wednesday evening rides always bring lights.
Participants on Leicester Spokes rides must be over 17 unless
accompanied by a parent or guardian. Insurance is your sole
responsibility. Leicester Spokes and its members cannot accept
liability for you or your possessions. It is your responsibility to
follow advice and the highway code at all times.
