Ride Guide

The bike rides usually start from either Ratcliffe Road or The Quay in Leicester. Please click on the the following links to Multimap to see the exact start points.

Ratcliffe Road

The Quay

SUNDAY rides always  stop at a cafe or pub for a leisurely lunch and aim to return to the start by approx 4pm in the winter, and up to 6pm in the summer when we cover longer distances. We usually average 9-10mph.

SATURDAY rides tend to be about the same distance but are faster with fewer stops on route. However there is usually a long lunch/pub stop at the destination.

WEDNESDAY EVENING rides go out to the surrounding countryside and are around 20 miles in length and take up to three hours including a village pub stop.

Leicester Spokes rides are free and open to all. Please make sure that your bicycle is in good working order, and bring along a spare inner tube and some money. For the Wednesday evening rides always bring lights.
